Dilettantes (di-le-tonts) comes from the Italian - dilettare. Dilettare basically sums it all up, because it means to delight or to entertain. Simple.
Marnie is the winemaking brains, whereas Kate has just been getting her hands dirty and asking silly questions in wineries for way longer than some people who do actually have degrees in winemaking.
