The Stoke French For Shiraz 2020
The 2020 Syrah was made it two separate portions. One was a 100% whole bunch ferment. The cap was kept wet and fresh by siphoning juice/wine from the second portion. This protected the first ferment while helping to increase the skin to juice contact of the second ferment. This resulted in a very expressive and complex herbal nose with underlying white pepper and spice. It is on the red fruit spectrum due to the whole bunch but has depth on the palate and a fine tannin structure that assists the lingering flavour. Please enjoy now and for the next 5 years.
