J.M. Lentini Eden Valley Syrah 2016
Deep garnet in colour the wine displays an attractive complex aroma of ripe dark plum, black cherry and spice. The palate is rich and powerful, displaying dark berries, liquorice and savoury spice. The finish is long, with bright acidity and fine juicy tannins.
Winemaking: The fruit was hand harvested and destemmed with 10% whole cluster inclusion. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in a small open top fermenter for 14 days prior to pressing. Elevage was undertaken in French oak hogsheads, 30% new, and on lees for 22 months prior to bottling. The wine was naturally clarified and bottled without fining or filtration. Decanting is recommended prior to drinking.
