Located in the Eden Valley near the Kaisher Stuhl national park sits the famed Kosi Riesling block. A parcel from this vineyard was selected and vinified separately for the Vickery 2018 Reserve wine as it showed incredible fruit purity and tight acidity. The ‘Kosi Block’ has an altitude of 500m with the rows running east to west and a westerly facing aspect. 2018 was a mostly dry season, which meant there was low disease pressure on the fruit and a later than usual picking date meant there was extended, gentle, and balanced ripening of the fruit which is perfect for making a wine with cellaring potential.
