An initial aroma of watermelon and white nectarine with notes of lime and cucumber. French oak characters of cashew nut, fresh cream and toasted sourdough bread follow through.

A palate that ticks all the boxes of flavour, mouthfeel, acidity, structure and balance. There is a fruit freshness from Coonawarra that attenuates the rich McLaren Vale mid palate keeping everything tight and well structured. The oak is subtle, toasty and creamy adding depth, complexity and texture while perfectly balanced acidity finishes the wine on a bright, fresh note.
Food Pairing - Enjoy with chicken, pasta with carbonara sauce, butter chicken, fish and chips, garlic scallops or baked fish with lemon cream sauce.
Vintage Information

Vintage was one of the lowest yielding in recent memory with a dry winter with unusually strong winds the main factors. Mild and dry spring with rain returning in November. Summer heat then arrived triggering the end of shoot growth as the vines directed all their energy into berry development. January saw above average rainfall and below average temperatures allowing the fruit to gently ease themselves into veraison.
