Cirillo 'The Vincent' Grenache 2024
"The Vincent Grenache is a heartfelt tribute to my father, who has passed down eight generations of wine and grape-growing knowledge to me, the ninth." Marco Cirillo - Winemaker
Sourced from two ancient vineyards planted in 1901 and 1906 on the pure sandy soils of the renowned Barossa Valley, The Vincent reflects the exceptional quality of some of the region’s finest fruit. Crafted with traditional open fermentation using natural yeast, this Grenache remains unfiltered and unfined, preserving its authentic character. Maturation occurs over six months in a combination of seasoned oak and stainless-steel tanks, enhancing both purity and complexity.
Fruit declassified from our esteemed 1848 Ancestor Vine Grenache vineyard also contributes to The Vincent, enhancing its depth and character.
In the glass, the wine is bright, ruby garnet in colour, with youthful purple hues hinting at its vibrant nature. The nose greets you with inviting aromas of fresh red fruit, pretty spice, and subtle white pepper. The palate is generous and expressive, delivering intense true varietal characteristics with a delicately rounded structure and bright, crunchy acidity.
An extraordinary ‘vino da tavola’, The Vincent offers a superbly lingering finish that showcases the purity and finesse of Grenache. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now or well into the future.
