Steve Crawford spent time travelling through Europe and made wine in countries such as Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy and France. But it was working in a big winery in Australia where he dreamed of doing things himself on a smaller scale.
The alias Frederick Stevenson came about to avoid attention to his side project, Becoming a reality in 2013. Working now with varieties such as Chardonnay, Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache, Pinot Noir and Sangiovese.
As well putting great effort into his wines, Steve likes to give his artist friends opportunities to show their work and puts them on his labels. The results are fantastic. Eye catching and certainly a good fit for Steve's wines.
Camping his label at a blended cellar door in Bowden know as Oddio, Frederick Stevenson hangs out with other Regions stable mates Delinquente Wine Co and Bizzarro. Drop in and visit these cool kids for a drink and a feed sometime.
