The Stoke & Moorak Island Jaunt #2

The inaugural “Island Jaunt” which is usually held in September was held over the weekend of January 28th and 29th. This was Island Jaunt No 2 after a brief hiatus due to Covid. This magnificent trip which is short and sweet is organised by two of our favourite wine producers being The Stoke and Moorak wines. We started our trip with swags on shoulders and endless enthusiasm at Cape Jervis. After a quick trip with wind in our hair on the ferry we arrived at Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island. Our transport for our jaunt was a large and comfortable KI Ferries bus with our knowledgeable tour guide Jo to explain the devastation of the 2020 bushfires. Winter Staff Pick - Silent Noise Primitivo Under Flor

Review: Silent Noise Primitivo Under Flor By: Tristan Bryant The 2020 Cloudy but Fine Primitivo was born a dry red table wine that underwent further maturation for 12 months in French oak under a Flor yeast, the same yeast strain used for sherry production. Here the Flor surface yeast quickly established a healthy cover or veil over the wine imparting subtle Flor characters evident in the wine today. The delicious flavours of a combination of dark berry fruitiness and gentle nuttiness reminiscent of frangipane, Cherry Danish and blueberry strudel.Black cherry pie, savoury yet perfumed Kalamata olives and wild black berries envelop the palate. There are hints of milk chocolate wrapped almonds and the herbal notes of bouquet garni dominated by fragrant bay leaves.

City of Burnside Local Business Awards

On Friday 5th of November, Regions Cellars was in attendance at the City of Burnside Local Business Awards. We were a finalist in the category of "Emerging and Empowered". With some stiff competition in our category, we took out the award! The award highlights newcomers (less than three (3) years in operation) that are starting out and already making an impact. With our doors only being open for just over a year, it was an honour to be recognised in this way. Throughout the evening, we also had the opportunity to showcase a few great South Australian producers including Sidewood Estate (Adelaide Hills), Mismatch Brewing Co (Adelaide Hills), & Watsacowie Brewing Co (Yorke Peninsula). A BIG thanks to our amazing team at Regions and the fantastic community who have welcomed us with open arms. Without their support, we wouldn't be here today.
