Adelina
Adelina Wines, rooted in the Clare Valley, began as a personal endeavor by Will Gardner in the 1980s to craft wines for family and friends from his family estate. This passion was revitalized in the late 1990s when his daughter Jen joined the project, and by 2001, her meeting with Col McBryde at university led to a lasting partnership. Their combined expertise, with both holding PhDs in oenology and extensive industry experience spanning three decades, culminated in the first commercial release of Adelina Wines in 2003. Situated on Wendouree Road East in the Springfarm sub-region of Clare, the small vineyard and winery are surrounded by some of South Australia's most historically significant vineyards. The estate, managed organically, features venerable plantings of Shiraz (1915), Grenache (1940), and Pedro Ximenez (1915), alongside newer plantings of Shiraz, Mataro, and Malbec, all certified organic. Adelina’s negoce wines are carefully sourced from select growers across Clare, McLaren Vale, and the Adelaide Hills, encompassing both conventional and organic sites to ensure a rich pedigree of fruit that aligns with their commitment to producing exceptional, regionally reflective wines.
Come try Adelina Wines on Saturday 5th of October from 4-6pm.

Uraidla Brewery Vampiric Thrown Red IPA
Nestled in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Uraidla Brewery has achieved a historic triumph at the 2024 Australian Independent Beer Awards (Indies) with their red IPA, Vampiric Throne. This brew has claimed the prestigious title of Champion Australian Independent Beer, outshining over 1,000 competitors—a milestone marking the first time a red IPA has earned this honor. The competition, judged by nearly 50 experts over three days, saw Vampiric Throne not only win the Champion Amber-Dark Ale category but also rise as the overall champion, leaving a significant mark on the Australian craft beer scene. For Max Bowering, the young head brewer who joined Uraidla just two months prior, this accolade is a testament to his brewing skills and the team's dedication. He expressed his delight, noting that the beer's last-minute entry proved fortuitous. Vampiric Throne, with its deep, blood-like hue derived from specialty malts, enchants with aromas of ripe tropical fruits and earthy pine, while its flavor profile weaves a rich tapestry of caramel sweetness, lush mango, succulent berries, and a hint of resinous pine, fading away like a whisper in the night.
