Guthrie Wines is the creation of Hugh and Sarah Guthrie, a small family-run winery uncovering the site-specific beauty of the Adelaide Hills. Their work is deeply tied to Hugh’s family’s sixty-year history on the Gumeracha estate, where he now produces exceptional single-vineyard wines while continuing the tradition of running sheep on the property. With a focus on expressing the character of each site, Hugh’s approach is thoughtful and hands-on, reflecting a genuine connection to both land and craft.
Rooted in a minimalist philosophy, Hugh has spent over a decade refining a style that allows the fruit to speak for itself, revealing the subtle nuances of cooler-climate vineyards. The Guthrie range showcases this beautifully, with standout wines including a polished Pinot Noir and an expressive Chardonnay.
