Fruit for the 2023 vintage was sourced from three exceptional vineyards in the Adelaide Hills: the Lloyd Brothers Vineyard in Kuitpo, the Paracombe Vineyard in Paracombe, and the Lobethal Road Vineyard near Mount Torrens. The 2023 season was characterised by a cool growing period, followed by a spring and summer marked by intermittent rainfall and a mild, even-paced vintage.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were crushed, pressed, and settled before being transferred to oak barrels for fermentation, with a small portion fermented in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation was encouraged in 100% of the barrels and tanks to soften the wine’s texture. The wine was then matured for nine months in a combination of new (25%) and seasoned (75%) oak barriques, with the barrel lees stirred fortnightly to build richness and complexity.

The resulting Chardonnay is sumptuously drinkable, offering the depth, texture, and intrigue that true Chardonnay lovers seek.
