With the Nero d’Avola grape able to withstand hot, dry conditions, it is ideally suited to the Currency Creek region and is one of the George’s Folly team’s favourite varieties to work with.

The 2024 vintage displays beautiful blue-fruit and floral aromas, including blueberries and blackberries, before moving into the red-fruit spectrum with tart cherries. On the palate, flavours of pomegranate, quince, rhubarb and redcurrant are complemented by hints of oregano, cinnamon and spice. Subtle notes of old leather, white pepper and tobacco add complexity, while balanced acidity and tannins provide a beautiful finish.

It is a delightful wine to enjoy with food or simply on its own.
