Bondar Wines was founded in 2013 with the goal of creating bright, pure wines with a balanced, savoury character. Their first wines were made with small amounts of hand-picked Shiraz and Chardonnay. In 2014, they acquired the Rayner Vineyard in McLaren Vale, which is known for its Shiraz and Grenache. The vineyard, with plantings dating back to the 1950s, significantly influences their wine style. Bondar adopts a hands-off winemaking approach, focusing on canopy management and minimal intervention techniques like wild fermentation and whole-bunch use to produce balanced wines.

Since then, they have received positive feedback, including numerous trophies and 90+ scores from wine shows and critics. They remain committed to making wines they love, with hopes of continuing their success for years to come.
