Lifelong friends Toby Porter and Alex Katsaros always talked about making wine together. Alex has spent over a decade working with alternative varieties in Australia and abroad, Toby has been a winemaker at internationally acclaimed d’Arenberg for over 15 years.

In 2016 the dream came to fruition, with the release of the first Rosé under the Mazi label. Grapes are sourced from McLaren Vale, handpicked, crushed and immediately pressed to extract the optimum level of flavour and tannin. The wine displays a pale pink tone, derived from a minimal period of juice on skins prior to pressing.

Following a cool fermentation in stainless steel vat, the wine is then bottled. The Mazi Limited Release Rosé spends five months in old French oak casks to impart subtle oak texture and build palate complexity.

This wine is stunning and will be appreciated by any fine wine drinker.
