Chaffey Bros La Résistance 2025 is a Barossa Valley blend of old vine Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, sourced from low-yielding vineyards and crafted with a hands-on, minimal intervention approach. Fermented and matured for nine months in seasoned French oak, the wine is left unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural texture and vitality.

In the glass, it shows a vibrant yet brooding profile, with lifted aromas of dark cherry, plum and wild berries layered with spice, dried herbs and a subtle earthy savouriness. The palate is supple and expressive, balancing richness with energy, as fine tannins frame a core of juicy fruit. Gentle oak influence adds structure without overshadowing the blend’s purity. Vegan friendly and made with restraint, it reflects both site and philosophy, delivering a characterful and quietly rebellious take on a classic Barossa GSM.

Winemakers Daniel Chaffey Hartwig, Huon Fechner and Theo Engela bring a collaborative spirit to this release, shaping a wine that honours tradition while embracing a modern, thoughtful approach.
