Pinot Meunier
Ochota Barrels 'The Mark of Cain' Pinot Meunier 2026
Ochota Barrels The Mark Of Cain 2026 is a wonderfully expressive Pinot Meunier, all lifted cherry fruit, savoury depth and plenty of energy. Think freshly baked cherry cake, wild red fruit and a subtle forest-floor earthiness underneath.
The palate is bright and finely structured, with enough mid-palate weight to give it length without losing its lively, almost nervy feel. There’s a lovely balance between fruit, spice and savoury complexity, making it another seriously drinkable release from Ochota.
Sourced from Sam Vigara’s home block in Piccadilly, the fruit was picked on 6 April, spent 11 days on skins with 30% whole bunch, then was bottled just three months later unfined and unfiltered.
