This inaugural vintage of old-vine Grenache is sourced from a picturesque block known as "The Springs," located in the celebrated Blewitt Springs subregion of McLaren Vale. Covering 2 hectares at an elevation of 136 meters, this vineyard is home to 75-year-old bush vine Grenache, deeply anchored in sandy soils characteristic of this renowned area. Sustainably certified, the vineyard is meticulously tended by hand throughout the growing season.

Hand-picked on March 22, the grapes were open-fermented with 25% whole bunches, remaining on skins for 10 days to achieve an ideal balance of flavor and tannin extraction. The wine then matured on lees in seasoned French puncheons for 8 months, culminating in bottling in December 2023. With 14.0% alcohol, this wine is crafted entirely from Grenache.

The wine presents bright, lifted aromas with floral hints, red fruits, and crushed raspberries, underscored by dried herb nuances. Sourced from old vines rooted in sandy soils in Blewitt Springs, it is vibrant and pure, with excellent balance, minerality, fine, silky tannins, and impressive fruit length.
