Sid's love affair with wine began during a European adventure, ultimately leading him to pursue a Viticulture and Oenology degree with Honours from the prestigious University of Adelaide.

With a background in sommelier service and experience in various Australian wineries, Sid found his home in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. As an Assistant Winemaker at Watkins Grape and Wine, Sid not only hones his craft but also channels his passion into his own label, Raga.

Raga wines epitomize quality and sustainability, meticulously crafted from organic and sustainably grown grapes. Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for Sid—it's the cornerstone of Raga's philosophy. Each grape is hand-picked from vineyards committed to environmentally friendly practices.

Sid's winemaking ethos is simple yet profound: to showcase the true essence of the vineyards. With a hands-on approach, Sid employs techniques like wild fermentation, traditional pigeage, and basket pressing. Maturation in seasoned, large format oak barrels adds depth and complexity to the wines.
