An excellent example of Pinot Gris from the Adelaide Hills, which has proved itself as a region as well suited to this variety as anywhere in the country. Specifically, it hails from the Charleston sub-region. Pressings were included in the final wine and 1/3rd of the final wine was fermented in older oak. As can happen with this variety, there can be the merest hints of pink and even grey colours, but overall, an appealing pale yellow/gold hue.
An alluring and yet refined nose, we have notes of pears, florals, citrus, lemongrass, spices and ginger. This is fresh and energetic with bright acidity running the length. A clean and vibrant style, which is most attractive, enjoy this any time over the next three years.
