The 2017 O’Leary Walker Aged Watervale Riesling is a refined expression of Clare Valley Riesling, showcasing the evolution that comes with careful bottle age.

In its youth, the wine displayed lifted florals, citrus, and lemon-lime intensity with a fine mineral line and crisp acidity. With time in bottle, these primary characters have softened and integrated, giving way to more complex notes of lemon curd, subtle honey, and developing toast and talc-like minerality, while retaining a bright citrus core.

The palate remains focused and linear, with a steely backbone and refreshing acidity carrying flavours of lime, citrus rind, and gentle waxy complexity. A fine balance between freshness and maturity defines the wine, finishing long, dry, and mouth-watering.

Now entering its ideal drinking window, it offers both vibrancy and layered complexity, a hallmark of well-aged Watervale Riesling.
