Riposte by Tim Knappstein and Son is a wholly family owned and run wine company producing a range of premium wine in the picturesque Adelaide Hills of South Australia.

Riposte Wines takes its name from the fencing term, reflecting the winery's dedication to the art of finesse and countermove in winemaking.

Tim, Dale and Nick form a close-knit team that is guided by the winemaking philosophy to be ‘hands on’ at every stage from vineyard to bottle. Each vineyard site is carefully selected for quality and its suitability for producing varietal character. Tim and son Nick work closely with the growers at every stage, ensuring grapes are picked at the optimum stage of ripeness, vibrancy and freshness.

Specializing in premium single-vineyard wines, Riposte Wines focuses on cool-climate varietals such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards, situated in the Adelaide Hills, benefit from the region's higher altitude, diverse soils, and cool maritime influence, resulting in wines that showcase elegance, complexity, and a distinct sense of place. With meticulous vineyard management and a hands-on winemaking approach, Riposte Wines consistently produces wines that capture the unique character and terroir of the Adelaide Hills.
