Schild Estate

The Schild family name is synonymous with hard work, long-sited commitment, hearty laughs, warm smiles and an enjoyment of all the good things that come from being surrounded by family. The family have journeyed from early German pioneers to becoming one of the Barossa's oldest family owned grape growers and most successful wineries.

Schild Estate are producing wine from vines that date back as far as 1847 - some of the oldest producing shiraz vines in the world. 

With strong family history, there is something different about this one. Ed has been head of the company since the tender age of 16 after his father, Ben, passed away unexpectedly. He married Lorraine in 1962 after a flirtatious courtship and together they have four children and grew the family business into what it is today.
