The Butchers Block Red is named in honour of Turkey Flat’s family heritage and the building that now houses its Cellar Door. Crafted from Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro, each varietal is vinified and aged separately in French oak for twelve months before blending. The 2023 vintage, shaped by a cool, wet spring and long ripening season, produced wines with vibrant acidity, perfumed aromatics, and concentrated flavour. Grenache contributes red fruits and spice, Shiraz lends plush mid-palate richness, and Mataro adds savoury depth and structure, creating a balanced, fruit-driven, medium-bodied blend.

Bright and expressive, the Butchers Block GSM offers aromas of raspberry, spice, earth, and floral notes with a touch of liquorice. The palate shows vivid red fruits, dark chocolate, and fine dusty tannins supported by mineral acidity and a lingering chocolate finish.
