Tria Prima
Tria Prima is a small family business run by Paul and Trang Shand. Their whisky maker Paul was formerly a geochemist, using chemistry as a tool to understand the evolution of the earth and its natural waters.
At Tria Prima they foster creativity but respect tradition. They use age old techniques developed by previous masters, honed by local ingredients and an arid environment to create a unique Spirit of Life which reflects their values of quality and transparency.
Their focus is on the best quality single malt whisky possible. In order to achieve this, they operate at a rate conducive to the production of a complex and well-balanced whisky.
They use only premium ingredients, including South Australian barley, to delicately guide and extract the hidden spirit using traditional processes, followed by maturation in top quality casks.
