Established in 1972 by the late David Wynn, Mountadam Vineyards stands as a testament to Wynn's pioneering vision in the Australian Wine Industry. Recognized as one of the industry's most influential figures, Wynn was driven by the pursuit of crafting wines of unparalleled elegance and structure. Naming the vineyard after his son, Adam, who later took the reins as the company's winemaker, Wynn meticulously searched across Australia for the perfect site, ultimately settling on the elevated splendor of High Eden in 2001. Spanning 40 square kilometers, this sub-region of Eden Valley boasted the ideal cool climate for producing exceptional wines. In 2005, the torch was passed to David and Jenni Brown, who acquired Mountadam Vineyards, and later, in 2015, the second High Eden vineyard originally established by Wynn. As custodians of Wynn's legacy, the Brown family remains dedicated to his vision, ensuring the continuation of sustainable viticulture practices that will preserve the vineyards' success for generations to come.
