Since being planted in 2007, this variety has flourished in the cool climate of Wangolina’s coastal environment. A reliably crisp and approachable wine, the slower ripening contributes layers of complexity and texture that add depth and interest.

The 2025 vintage marks a welcome return to full, regular cropping in the Mt Benson vineyard. Benefiting from a mild season with virtually no frost, the long, dry ripening period was moderated by the cooling ocean breezes characteristic of the region. A 4000L oak foudre was filled to ferment a portion of the wine, enhancing depth and texture before blending with the majority, which was vinified in stainless steel.

Subtle aromas of orchard fruit and spice lead into a medium-weighted palate featuring pear drops, custard apple texture, and a touch of spice on the finish. The trademark Mt Benson acidity ensures a crisp and clean conclusion.
