Balnaves The Blend 2021 is an approachable, classically styled Bordeaux-style red from South Australia's famed Coonawarra region. Grown on the estate's iconic Terra Rossa soils, this vegan-friendly, sustainably farmed vintage balances the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the plushness of Merlot.

Typically a blend of around 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and a splash (10%) of Petit Verdot or Cabernet Franc.Maturation: Matured for roughly 11 to 14 months in fine-grained French oak (with a low percentage of new oak to let the fruit shine).

Aromas: Vibrant medleys of blackberry, blueberry, and dark plum, laced with notes of tobacco leaf, subtle spice, and cocoa.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, featuring inky cassis and dark cherry flavors wrapped in velvety, fine-grained tannins.

Cellaring Potential: Drinking beautifully right now, but structured well enough to cellar for another 5–12 years.
