Style: Dark cherries, roses, alpine spices and earthy aromas jump out of the glass. The palate has a long juicy acidity and the finest mouth coating tannins 

Vineyard: Nebbiolo (Clone 220) fruit was sourced from the Amadio Vineyard in Kersbrook, grown on thirsty, thick stony loam needed to fully ripen this fickle grape variety

Vinification: The fruit was picked at dawn to retain freshness. The fruit was gently destemmed into closed fermenters. The whole-berry wild fermentation was done slowly and carefully and at completion the tank was sealed for 60 days to build texture and soften the tannins. The wine was pressed to a Slovenian oak cask were it rests for 18 months
