The Vanguardist Grenache 2024 marks the tenth release from the Rende Vineyard in Blewitt Springs, capturing the house philosophy of pushing beyond convention to express site with clarity and intrigue. Sourced from 55-year-old vines in the renowned Silver Sands, and guided by Michael J. Corbett, the wine reflects both heritage and meticulous stewardship.

A challenging season of wind, rain, and a late heatwave delivered a low-yielding yet concentrated crop, hand-picked across early March. Gentle, extended fermentation with a high proportion of whole bunches, followed by 17 months in seasoned Slavonian oak foudre, has shaped a finely detailed wine.

It presents with lifted red fruits, subtle spice, and a distinctive mineral thread, underpinned by bright acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins. Structured yet poised, it offers depth, length, and a clear sense of place.
