Alf Vesey was the great-grandfather of winemaker Chris "Hatch" Hatcher and the Master Winemaker at Penfolds for 47 years. He mentored Max Schubert the creator of Grange on the art of winemaking and blending. McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s best regions for Shiraz and VESEY has rich blueberry fruits and an opulent flavoursome palate.

Shiraz was fermented on skins in small open top fermenters with gentle plunging and irrigation for 5-10 days
to make a powerful, rich and plush wine with great vibrance and purity. The palate is plush, opulent and velvety. HATCH Shiraz is delicious now, however you will be reward with medium to long-term cellaring. Enjoy with rich meat dishes of beef, pork and lamb including barbequed meats, ragouts and spicy meat
