The 2025 Ngeringa Sheoak Chardonnay is a pale lemon-yellow wine that beautifully balances power and finesse. The nose reveals layered aromas of ripe stone fruit, gently complemented by notes of orange citrus and delicate spring blossoms. The palate is creamy and textured, showing flavours of yellow peach, lemon zest, subtle vanilla, and roasted cashew. Well-integrated oak supports the wine’s generous fruit intensity, while vibrant natural acidity provides freshness and drive. Complex yet approachable, it is drinking beautifully now.

Sourced from a blend of estate-grown Biodynamic Chardonnay from Ngeringa’s prized Summit Vineyard and certified organic fruit from the Manyara vineyard in Balhannah, Adelaide Hills, the wine reflects both site and careful craftsmanship. The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunch pressed, with minimal settling into French oak barriques and puncheons, thirty percent of which were new. Fermentation occurred naturally with wild yeast, followed by natural malolactic fermentation. The wine matured on lees for nine months without battonage before bottling with only a small addition of sulphur. No enzymes or fining were used, preserving the purity and integrity of the wine.
