Good Catholic Girl Wines was founded in 2004 after Julie left her family’s business, Jim Barry Wines, to create something of her own. The vineyard, planted in 1997 at Limerick in Clare’s Armagh region, uses Shiraz cuttings from her father’s renowned Armagh block.

The wines honour family, faith, and a bit of fire. They are rooted in legacy and spirit, these wines tell the story of a good Catholic girl doing it her way.
