"Natural ferment; 12 months in older French oak. Dark cherry, salted licorice, black jellybean, spiced plum, amaro herbs, sarsaparilla and bitumen. It’s medium of weight, succulent and vibrantly animated but pleasingly savoury throughout, making it an excellent gastronomic foil. All in all, this is an excellent and individual expression of the grape, which is fast becoming a Vale stalwart. There’s good drinking here."
