The First Drop Mother’s Milk Shiraz 2023 is crafted for pure drinking pleasure—a soft, slurpy and textural Barossa Shiraz that invites immediate enjoyment. Sourced from vineyards across both the Barossa and Eden Valley, it delivers a fruit-laden yet savoury profile, making it dangerously easy to return to the glass.

In the glass, it shows a garnet red hue with flashes of purple. The nose offers a layered mix of dark cherry and blackberry, lifted by subtle forest-floor earthiness and spice. The palate follows through with vibrant dark fruits and a playful hint of “wombat rolled in all spice,” carried on an even, supple texture with soft tannins. While designed for drinking now, it also has the structure to cellar comfortably for 5–8 years.
