The 2024 Snap Bastardo Rosé is made from 100% Bastardo grown at Chalk Hill Viticulture’s California Road Vineyard in McLaren Vale, where cooling sea breezes and mature vines deliver vibrant flavour and natural acidity. Originally from Portugal, Bastardo thrives in McLaren Vale’s similar climate. The fruit was the first picked of the season, wild-fermented with no added acid, enzymes, or fining agents. Minimal skin contact and a long, cool fermentation preserved freshness, varietal character, and texture.

Pale garnet in colour, the 2024 Snap Bastardo Rosé shows aromas of strawberry, nougat, and brioche. The palate is bright and silky, with flavours of strawberry, raspberry, and a subtle hint of spice.
Best served chilled, it pairs beautifully with smoked salmon, or a blood orange and fennel salad, and will drink well through to 2028.
