The 2024 The Standish Shiraz is a powerful and deeply expressive Barossa Valley Shiraz, sourced from the Laycock Family Vineyard in Greenock. From own-rooted vines planted in ironstone gravel and schist soils, the wine was crafted with 50% whole bunch fermentation and wild yeast, delivering remarkable intensity alongside refinement and precision.

A dense core of black cherry, roasted game, licorice, and sweet paprika unfolds across the palate, framed by cooling minerality and finely layered tannins. Despite its concentration, the wine retains a poised elegance and extraordinary length, making it compelling in its youth with extended aeration, while promising exceptional rewards for decades of cellaring.
