A lovely intensity of rich, dark Shiraz flavours pair with elegant structure and plush tannins to lend this wine an air of easy drinkability. Bright fruits abound here – blackberries, cassis, and plums. Meandering throughout are floral notes of violets and lavender, mixing with delicate baking spice.

A generously dense, nonetheless, balanced Shiraz with complex spice and floral flavours typical of the Blewitt Springs sub region. Gentle cap management throughout the winemaking process, along with a short time maturing in in seasoned French barriques ensures the wine is not over extracted, and that fruit and tannin are in perfect harmonious balance.

Hand harvested from the middle and bottom sections of the Jericho Blewitt Springs Bracken vineyard  where shallow sandy topsoil covers compacted clay. This compacted soil offers little nutrition for the Shiraz fruit and creates difficulty for vine roots to penetrate. This results in wines of intense flavour concentration and fine structure.

Food Pairing
This classic yet approachable Shiraz pairs well with everything from casual pasta and pizza nights, to more hearty fare such as slow cooked meats.
