From organic old-vine Grenache grown by Rino in the Onkaparinga Hills, McLaren Vale, Kaurna Country, with a splash of Gewürztraminer (12%) for aromatic lift, “Surfer Rosa” 2025 is a study in poise and vibrancy. Handpicked whole bunches were gently crushed to press and racked four days later to allow indigenous fermentation to take hold.

In the glass, it shimmers pale salmon pink with an iridescent brightness that hints at the restrained elegance within. The nose rises with spice, lingonberries, and a savoury whisper of charcuterie. On the palate, a full entry quickly finds balance in a savoury line, with snappy, bead-like textures of persimmon and cranberry dancing across the tongue. The finish is dry, lingering on ripe strawberries, leaving an impression that is both refreshing and moreish. Best served chilled — ideally with your favourite people.
