As fun and playful as sweet rosé styles can be, they are not part of the Teusner ethos, either to make or to drink. Salsa Rosé is instead crafted in a dry style, more aligned with the structure and character of the winery’s reds. It is made from two favoured varieties: savoury, spicy Mataro (74%) and juicy Grenache (26%).

The fruit is grown by the Riebke family in the ancient, dry soils of the Barossa. Fermentation takes place in old oak barrels to build savoury complexity and spice, adding texture and character. The result is a rosé with edge and personality, designed to offer depth and attitude rather than sweetness.
