Barossa Wine Cartel Rosé 2023
The Barossa Wine Cartel Rose 2023, crafted from 52% Old Vine Grenache and 48% Mataro, showcases the essence of the Barossa Valley, specifically from the Northern Barossa and Vine Vale subregions. With a meticulous selection of organic and certified organic & biodynamic grapes, this wine embodies a commitment to both tradition and sustainability.
Handpicked from century-old Grenache vines in two distinct vineyards, the wine exudes a depth of character. The Grenache, managed with organic practices, delivers notes of white peach, nectarine, and honeydew melon, reflecting its terroir. Complemented by Mataro from the sandy soils of Vine Vale, sourced from a certified organic and biodynamic vineyard, the blend achieves a harmonious balance.
Following whole bunch pressing to minimize color, the wine underwent separate fermentations for Grenache and Mataro, showcasing the unique attributes of each varietal. Aged on lees, it gains complexity and structure, culminating in a pale pink/salmon hue that belies its vibrant aromas and flavors.
On the palate, the Rose 2023 is vibrant and fresh, with hints of raspberry, strawberry, and melon, echoing the aromatic profile. Its chalky/waxy texture adds dimension, making it a versatile companion to various cuisines. In essence, this Rose embodies the rich heritage and innovation of the Barossa Wine Cartel, inviting enthusiasts to savor its nuanced charms.
