This is the Bosworth anchor wine - rich and full, red and black fruits on the nose, savoury with delicious oak characters. Balanced, medium to full-bodied and classic McLaren Vale.

The grapes for Battle of Bosworth Shiraz 2023 are picked based on flavour and sugar ripeness before being crushed and transferred into small open fermenters. Fermentation is gentle, with twice-daily pump overs used to draw colour, flavour and tannin from the grape skins.

As fermentation nears completion, the wine is gently transferred into oak barrels, using a combination of older French oak and approximately 30% new French oak, where it finishes fermenting. The wine then spends just under 12 months maturing in oak before bottling.
