James Hamilton basically nailed the brief for the ultimate park wine with this one. The Lazy Sunday has been a staple since they first bottled it in 2016, but the 2025 release sees a fun little tweak to the recipe.

It is still built on his classic Adelaide Hills combo of Pinot Noir and Syrah, but this year there is a splash of Gamay in the mix to dial up the crunch.

It is designed to be glugged, not studied. The vibe is all about juicy, high-energy fruit - think wild strawberries, red cherries and pomegranate seeds. The Pinot brings the perfume, the Syrah gives it a bit of mid-palate flesh, and the Gamay adds that fresh, snappy edge.

It is vibrant, frisky and absolutely sings with a bit of a chill on it. Pour it into a tumbler, find a patch of grass, and drink with gusto.
