With only 6 hectares currently planted in McLaren Vale, it is a variety that is rarely encountered. Its rarity, combined with its remarkable ability to retain vibrancy in a warm climate, makes it particularly appealing to the winemaking team. Its deliciousness is what makes it so appealing to wine drinkers.

The 2024 release is stunning in the glass, with an alluring deep purple hue that draws you in. The first whiff transports you to a garden in full bloom, with aromas of Damask rose, ripe blackberry, and blackcurrant leaping from the glass. Notes of roasted almond, coriander seed, and graphite provide an elegant counterbalance.

On the palate, lush black fruit carries through, joined by a vibrant medley of spice—peppercorns, clove, and aromatic wild fennel seed—adding depth and complexity. The wine’s structure, length, and natural acidity make it a wonderful match for robust, flavoursome meals.
