Wangolina’s first foray into Chardonnay – and a proud one at that. "Not too heavy, not too light..."

The fruit is sourced from a spectacular Chardonnay vineyard in the Padthaway region, known for its long sunlight hours and cool nights – ideal conditions for maximum aromatic expression while retaining natural acidity. In the winery, the fruit is treated with minimal intervention but meticulous care. Half of the juice is matured in high-quality conditioned oak to develop texture and richness, while the remaining half rests in stainless steel to preserve Padthaway’s signature freshness and vitality.

The nose is lifted with pretty florals of white orchard and citrus blossom, leading into notes of white peach, golden apple, and honeydew melon. The palate offers the comforting generosity Chardonnay is known for, coating every corner of the mouth. Expect fleshy white peach and brown pear with delicate hints of lemon rind and apple skin. It's a complex wine with a salivating finish and sherbet-like acidity.
