This wine displays rich chocolate/eucalypt characters typical of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the region. Extended oak maturation has further enhanced these flavours to produce a rich but soft flavoursome palate.

Individual selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from three highly regarded vineyards in Langhorne Creek were used in this forty-fourth release of John's Blend Cabernet Sauvignon. The three components completed primary and secondary fermentation in seasoned French Oak hogsheads. The individual wines were blended during November 2019 with the blends maturing a further thirty-five months prior to bottling in Spring 2022.

Small batches of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the alluvial soils of Langhorne Creek and Shiraz from Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale are crushed, fermented, pressed and blended into oak hogsheads for maturation. These small batches of grapes become John’s Blend, a select, super premium label with limited production. In 1995 a rich and intense Margarete’s Shiraz was added to the label, a perfect companion to the Cabernet Sauvignon – both wines offer a unique experience to red wine connoiseurs all over the world.
