The Paralian Chardonnay 2023 is a single vineyard Chardonnay, crafted with fruit sourced from the Bowyer Ridge Vineyard in Adelaide Hills, cultivated by the Rosback family. 

Grown on irrigated vines in mica schist soil, the vineyard has a north-south orientation and sits at an altitude of 480-495 meters. It is a Sustainable Winegrowing Australia Certified Vineyard.

Following their experience working in Burgundy 14 years ago, the winemakers developed a deep passion for Chardonnay, inspiring them to create a single vineyard wine from the Adelaide Hills. After much negotiation, they were fortunate to secure fruit from Bowyer Ridge Vineyard.

The fruit was hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, with only the free-run juice drained and fermented in French oak barrels—18% new, mostly larger 500L puncheons. It underwent a 100% wild ferment and was left on lees in the barrel for partial malolactic fermentation, with regular stirring to enhance texture.

The result is a refined expression of Bowyer Ridge, showcasing green almond, white peach, a hint of green melon, and a touch of seaspray. This Chardonnay is tightly structured, with primary fruit flavors that expand over time, balanced by an intense grapefruit acidity that extends the palate.
