The McLaren Vale, Clarendon, and McLaren Flat vineyard Blend crafted by Jim Zorella, Ralph Wood, and Peter and Karen of Lillies vineyard, is a testament to organic management by Dave Gartelman and Fiona Wood, embodying the essence of Living Wine with zero additions or filtration. Sourced from diverse terroirs, including the rich red clay, schist, and ironstone of the Ryan Rd vineyard, as well as the white beach sand of Lillies and the ironstone of Clarendon, this blend undergoes a five-week fermentation on skins before being combined with pressings from other vineyards and aged in tank for eight months. It presents a bright, floral, raspberry nose leading to a long, focused palate with intriguing notes of arneis and amaro, showcasing the unique characteristics of each contributing vineyard.
