Inspired by the winemaking term “first cut”, which refers to the softer, free-run juice separated during pressing, Haselgrove’s First Cut range focuses on bright, approachable wines with excellent drinkability—ideal for food or casual enjoyment.

Aroma:
Vibrant aromas of red cherry, sweet berries, cranberry, floral notes, and subtle spice.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with red fruits, blood plum, blackberry, cherry, sweet oak spice, and hints of dried herbs. Fine tannins and balanced acidity provide structure and aging potential.

Vineyards:
Sourced from select McLaren Vale sites. Willunga fruit contributes dark berries and chewy tannins; McLaren Flat adds floral lift and finesse.

Winemaking:
De-stemmed and fermented on skins for 10 days with regular pump overs. Aged for 16 months in 20% new and 80% seasoned French oak.
