This wine is a blend of three old bush-vine Grenache vineyards, two from Blewitt Springs and the rocky San Remo site adjoining the estate’s Carignan. Fruit was picked over two weeks in mid to late March and fermented in eight small wild batches, with whole-bunch inclusion ranging from 0–50% and averaging 32% in the final blend. Gentle extraction, extended skin contact, and seven months’ maturation on gross lees in a mix of large-format oak and concrete built depth, savoury structure, and aromatic complexity.

The wine is lifted yet darkly fruited, showing raspberry, crunchy cherry, and sarsaparilla, layered with spice, amaro bitters, and earthy depth. Red-scented perfume is balanced by a broad, complex core, while the palate is long and supple, carrying generous fruit intensity shaped by a fine, sandy tannin line.
