The 2025 Oliver’s Taranga Small Batch Mencía is a vibrant, plush expression of this Spanish variety, displaying a bright purple-red colour and fragrant aromas of dusky florals, potpourri, ripe berries, rhubarb, quince, blood plum and sumac spice. The palate is generous with cherry and plum compote, blackberry, wine gums and sarsaparilla, balanced by savoury acidity and gently gritty tannins.

Crafted by sixth-generation winemaker Corrina Wright, the wine finishes with velvety tannins, floral lift and refreshing brightness. Warm, flavourful and inviting, it is an ideal partner for paella, tapas or a relaxed long lunch.
