Mavrodaphne is a native Greek variety and recently planted on a small plot in the heart of McLaren Vale.

The fruit was handpicked and the juice gently pressed off using a light sparkling style press cycle. Following a cool fermentation in stainless steel vat, the wine was filtered and bottled with minimal inputs to retain all the key attributes of the fruit grown in the vineyard. The resulting wine has a lovely lifted nose of orange blossom, mandarin peel and faint scents of dried herbs. The acid sits vibrantly with the super fine texture and restrained palate weight. This rose is ideal for fresh seafood and other fine delicacies and cheeses.
